i have a black and white photo which i am working on getting up and it's very very similar to this pic. could very well be the same location, just thought it was funny seeing pretty much the same picture as i have. Nice shot though, i like the colous and how the lamp is framed by the two tall apartment buildings on either side. Well done. :)

yay! whenever i imagine a city i like to imagine something like this. you're looking out into it from a nice little spot that's not quite in the middle of things. you can look at everything. see the buzz, and see the calm. and it's another one of those photos that makes me think. and sort of look back. reminds me of something and i don't know what. remember that? lol. well anyway.. yea.

i love the railing here.

umm.. it was taken off the stairs by concession and upp. wellington (or is that wentworth?!.. either way, it's the downtown access route..) is this the same location you were referring to?! post yours, so i can see.

and i do read. it just takes me a while to log on here and stay long enough to go through everyone's work! .. just so you're aware..

merci.

out of curiosity.. what does it make you think of?! since you can't remember what it reminds you of... =)

like what i said there. sort of. this one's a bit different. it's like.. i could never live in the city for my whole life, but i'd like to visit. and i could imagine just staying in some apartment and getting up just before/just at dawn and walking around, when it's still a bit chilly. and watching everything that's still asleep, and see other things waking up. dawn is so refreshing so i wouldn't be half-asleep anymore (i'm not a morning person). i dunno. just walking.. and not through the bustle of things, too much. more on the "outside" (ish) looking in. a perfect point would be where your photo was taken. it's just...mmmm... sit on the railing or the steps (more likely the latter. probably fall off the railing.) and just watch, listen, smell.. take it all in. one of those perfect little moments you'll remember with a faint smile..

you know?

haha. i'm such a morning person. but i did used to take walks after midnight when i couldn't sleep. my neighbourhood is far off from downtown though. and it's remotely safe at least.. i'd probably be afraid to do that downtown. or in the area where this was taken. it's too forested. open space is best when you're on your own, especially in the dead hours of whenever. =)

i would actually feel safer in a forest rather than an open field, but yea. probably better when you can see people and whatnot. know what you mean. love taking walks when it's nice out. =)
